Mi Sanitas in English

Mi Sanitas is Sanitas’s own member app and web area — where your card, appointments and policy documents live. This section helps you use it in English, and points you to real people when self-service isn’t enough.

Lost in translation?

The app’s English interface has a few labels that confuse everyone. The ones we’ve verified:

What the app saysWhat it means
Medical steering wheelsA mistranslation of volantes médicos — referral slips, the paperwork a GP gives you to see a specialist.
Reports and prescriptionsYour medical reports and prescriptions — not your policy paperwork. Policy documents live in the policy area.
Digital healthSanitas’s digital-health services (the “b.” Blua branding).
ClaveSpanish for “PIN” — a few Spanish labels still appear here and there in the English interface, for example on the security-PIN screen and some upload menus.

The official app and member area

Mi Sanitas is Sanitas’s own member app, available for iPhone and Android — the app works the same way on both.

On the web, the member area is at sanitas.es — Mi Sanitas member area.

Emergencies and getting help

Serious or life-threatening emergency? Call 112 now — Spain’s emergency number. Do not contact Spanish Health Insurance first.

  • Urgent medical advice through Sanitas: the Mi Sanitas app includes a video consultation for emergencies with a doctor, in the app’s Emergency care section where shown. This is not a replacement for 112 in a serious emergency.
  • Sanitas emergency numbers: in the app under Useful telephone numbers, Sanitas lists 24-hour emergencies: 91 752 29 10 · 900 906 207.
  • App login, card-loading or technical problems: only Sanitas can fix these. Use the Contact section at the bottom of the app’s More menu — telephone numbers, a contact form and offices — or Sanitas Customer service: 91 752 28 52 · 93 362 34 49 · 900 906 210.

Separately from the above: for non-urgent questions about your policy or your documents, you can reach us through our contact page.

Also listed in the app under Useful telephone numbers, run by Sanitas: Sanitas 24-hr medical advice 91 752 29 07 · 900 906 208, and Assistance abroad (accepts reverse charges) +34 91 345 65 84.
