Can I use Sanitas Dental from the first day of my policy?
Yes. There is no waiting period on any Sanitas dental plan. You can book an appointment and use your coverage the same day your policy starts.
How does the €3 copay work exactly?
The €3 copay is charged per medical act — meaning per individual procedure performed. If you have a cleaning and two fillings in one visit, that is three separate acts, so €9 in total. The copay only applies to included services; discounted treatments use the fixed Sanitas network price list instead.
Are my existing dental conditions covered?
Yes. Sanitas dental plans have no exclusions for pre-existing dental conditions. Whether you have old fillings, missing teeth, or gum disease, you can enrol and receive care without penalty.
Is there an age limit to join Sanitas Dental?
There is no upper age limit. Children, working adults, and retirees are all eligible. Children under 6 pay no monthly premium when included on a parent's policy.
What is the difference between Sanitas Dental and Dental Premium?
The basic Sanitas Dental plan includes 50+ services and charges €3 per procedure. Dental Premium includes 73 services (including children's fillings), has a per-visit copay (not per procedure), and offers additional discounts from the second year. Premium is ideal if you need more comprehensive coverage or expect higher dental usage.
Can I cancel my Sanitas Dental policy at any time?
Dental plans are annual contracts. To cancel, you must send written notice at least one month before your renewal date. If you do not cancel before the renewal, the policy automatically continues for another year.
