You, the main applicant

As the self-employed applicant, your comprehensive private cover sits at the centre of the family’s cover, across the full Sanitas network in Spain.

Your partner

Your spouse or partner is included as an insured member with their own individual certificate, and access to the Sanitas network of doctors, specialists and hospitals.

Your children

Children can be included as insured members, each with their own individual certificate. Their cover begins from the agreed effective date shown in the policy documentation.

We collect the information Sanitas requires for everyone being covered — names, dates of birth and the details each application needs — and explain how the policy will be arranged. Once the applications are accepted, each insured family member receives their own individual insurance certificate, for use with each insured family member's visa or residence application.

We set an agreed start date to suit your timetable, including a future date so the family's cover is in place in time for your move, and the certificates are provided in English for the application.

Once you're settled
