Tell us your situation and we'll come back with a clear, English-language Sanitas recommendation and a personalised quote for Sanitas Plans. No obligation.
Sanitas offers a range of plans for different needs — an entry-level plan (Sanitas Accede), no-copay plans (Sánitas Más Salud Sin Copago for individuals and Más Salud Familias Sin Copago for families), visa and residency plans (Sanitas Residents and Residents Platinum), a plan for international students, plus dental plans and optional add-ons. The right plan depends on your situation, age and where you live.
For the Non-Lucrative Visa or Digital Nomad Visa, Sanitas Residents or Residents Platinum are the visa-suitable plans — full private cover with no copayments and no excess. Más Salud is designed for general healthcare and EU residency, not the visa route. We can confirm what your specific consulate or route expects.
With a copay (con copago) plan you pay a small fee each time you use a service, which can make the monthly premium lower — useful for lighter healthcare users. With a no-copay (sin copago) plan there is no per-use charge, which is usually safer and often expected for visa and residency applications. See our copay vs no-copay guide.
Yes. EU citizens registering residency in Spain usually use a no-copay Más Salud plan — Más Salud Sin Copago for individuals or Más Salud Familias Sin Copago for families. EU citizens use the green-certificate route rather than the visa route, so the visa-specific plans are not normally required.
Yes. Más Salud Familias Sin Copago is the no-copay family version, and families can usually be covered together on one policy. See our family health insurance guide for how cover works for couples and children.
Sanitas Accede is the entry-level plan and is more affordable, but it is more limited and is not designed for the visa or residency route. If budget is the priority, we can compare it against the no-copay and visa-suitable plans so you can see the trade-offs.
Some health plans include certain dental benefits, but dental treatment is usually arranged through a dedicated dental plan (Dental 21, Sanitas Dental, Dental Premium or Dental Milenium) or a dental add-on. See our dental add-ons page.
Yes. Depending on the plan, optional add-ons may be available — for example pharmacy reimbursement, optical cover, repatriation, travel assistance and worldwide reimbursement. See our Sanitas add-ons hub. Availability depends on the plan, so always ask us to confirm.
Some treatments may have waiting periods, depending on the plan. The Residents and Residents Platinum plans offer cover from day one for many services. If you are transferring from another insurer, in some cases waiting periods can be reduced or removed — ask us to check your situation.
Pre-existing conditions are subject to medical underwriting and may be accepted, excluded or have specific conditions, depending on the plan and the insurer's rules. Always declare your medical history honestly. We can explain how this may affect your options before you apply.
There is no single price — the cost depends on your age, your province, the plan you choose, whether it has copayments, and how many people are covered. We do not publish fixed prices on this page; instead, ask us for a personalised quote for your situation.
It depends on whether you need cover for a visa or residency application, general private healthcare, or family cover — and on your budget and how often you expect to use it. Our English-speaking team can compare the suitable Sanitas plans and request a personalised quote. Get a quote to get started.
