Sanitas Más Salud provides complete, high-quality private healthcare while giving you access to all the facilities and specialists within the Sanitas network across Spain. It is the most popular individual health insurance plan in the Sanitas portfolio — and the no-copay version is the one accepted for all visa and residency applications.
From routine check-ups and preventive care to emergency medical treatments and hospitalisation, Más Salud ensures you receive the necessary medical attention when you need it most — with zero payment required at the point of care. Every visit, every test, every specialist — all billed directly to Sanitas.
Sanitas Dental 21 is included free, giving you access to all Milenium dental clinics equipped with the latest technology, covering over 30 dental procedures at no extra cost — from check-ups and X-rays to simple extractions and annual cleans. A 21% discount applies to any treatments beyond those included.
Beyond the clinic, Más Salud includes the Blua digital health platform permanently free. Yes. Sanitas Más Salud Sin Copago is accepted by Spanish consulates for the Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) and the Digital Nomad Visa (DNV). It meets all requirements: no copayments, full hospitalisation, repatriation coverage, and immediate coverage from day one. We issue your health insurance certificate the same day your policy is confirmed.
Más Salud No Copay (Sin Copago) means zero payment per consultation or service — this is the visa-compliant version. Más Salud Plus and Más Salud Óptima are the copay versions of the same plan, with identical coverage but with small per-visit fees (copagos) that make the monthly premium lower. Only the Sin Copago version is accepted for NLV and DNV visa applications.
Yes. Full inpatient and outpatient hospitalisation, ICU, surgery, anaesthesia, post-operative care, childbirth and all meals during your hospital stay are included with no copayment. You also get a single room with private bathroom and a bed for a companion as standard. Note that hospitalisation has a 10-month waiting period for new customers (emergency hospitalisation is immediate).
New customers who haven't held a Sanitas policy in the past 6 months are currently eligible for 50% off their premiums for the first 3 months. This is a limited-time spring promotion. Additional discounts include 4% for annual payment and 10% lifetime family discount for 4+ insured persons. Ask us when you get your quote to confirm what applies to you.

Yes. You can take out Sanitas Más Salud before receiving your NIE number, and payment can be made by international credit or debit card. This is important for expats applying for a visa who haven't yet moved to Spain or opened a Spanish bank account.
Yes, if you've been continuously insured with a Spanish health insurer (or any Bupa Group company) for more than 12 months. You'll need to provide a copy of your previous policy conditions and your last payment receipt. All waiting periods (except childbirth) will be waived.
